Privacy policy
At MIA, privacy isn't a box we check. We build the product so you stay in control of your data. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use AI providers.
1) About MIA and your data
Contact: contact@usemia.co
2) Our promise: your data, your control
- • You can delete your recordings, transcriptions, and summaries in the app.
- • We follow a "permanent deletion" approach: deleted data is removed from our active systems and is no longer available to you.
Realistic limits: deletion may take a short time to propagate, and some residual copies may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, or where we must keep data to comply with legal obligations. See Section 9.
3) Data we collect
A) Account data
When you sign up or log in (Google OAuth or email/password), we collect:
- • Name and email address (and authentication details needed to keep your account secure)
- • Basic account settings (language, timezone)
B) Content data (what you create in MIA)
- • Audio recordings you record in the app
- • Transcriptions generated from your audio

4) How we use your data
We use your data to:
- 1. Provide the service (recording, sync, transcription, summaries, Q&A)
- 2. Secure the service and prevent abuse/fraud
- 3. Support and communicate with you about the service (important updates, account/security messages)
- 4. Landing page analytics (GA4)
No Selling or Renting of Data:
We do not sell, rent, or disclose your personal data to unauthorized third parties.
5) Our Technology Partners: Ensuring Secure, Seamless Experiences
MIA uses external providers to process your content and return results.
What is sent to providers
- • Transcription: your audio is sent to Groq to generate a transcript.

Your control
- • You can delete content (Section 7).
- • When content is deleted, it is removed from our active systems and is no longer used for AI processing.
Provider data use: We configure our AI providers to use your data solely for delivering the requested service and not for improving their models, except where required by law or contract.
6) Sharing & processors (technology partners)
